Precise Data for Confident Decisions.

Whether you’re a large timber company or a small woodland owner, knowing the exact volume and condition of your timber is essential. We offer a range of specialized services to provide you with the most accurate data available.

01.

This is our primary service. We provide a comprehensive inventory of your timber, measuring key data points like diameter, tree height, height to live crown (HLC), and any defects. This data is crucial for determining timber volume and value, helping you decide whether to log, manage, or hold for future growth.

02.

For young timber stands, we assess the health and growth of five-year-old trees. We use a caliper to measure their diameter and note any signs of disease or damage, ensuring your young forest is on a healthy track.

03.

We go in during the first and second years of growth to measure the height of new seedlings and take a caliper measurement at the root collar. We also note the health of the tree and any damage, providing a baseline for future growth projections.

04.

Competing vegetation can threaten the growth of new seedlings. We measure and note the type and density of competing vegetation, providing data to help you manage the problem and protect your investment.

Our Process & Technology

From the Woods to Your Hands: An Unwavering Commitment to Accuracy.

Our process is built on a foundation of experience, reliability, and precision. We combine proven, traditional methods with modern technology to deliver the exact right data for your needs.

In the Field

Our data collection is meticulous. For larger timber, we use a Diameter tape and a Releksop to accurately measure tree height and diameter. We also use Laser Rangefinders to gather the same information in a fraction of the time. We work in all conditions, navigating the most adverse terrain to ensure our data is comprehensive and accurate.

Data Processing & Delivery

The data we collect is saved on an Allegro MX data recorder. Once the fieldwork is complete, the data is downloaded, processed, and meticulously examined for any errors. When the data is verified to be of high quality, it is sent to you for review. The final report will contain all the necessary information about your timber, enabling you to formulate your management plans for the present and the future.

What We Do

Solving Your Timber Inventory Challenges

The primary problem we solve for our clients—from large companies to small woodland owners—is a lack of accurate, up-to-date data on their timber assets. Knowing the exact volume and condition of your timber is a complex challenge, especially given the difficult terrain of the forests we work in.

This is where our decades of experience become your greatest advantage. We have built our career on the ability to access these difficult places and deliver precise data. We are the trusted experts who know how to navigate the woods and provide the exact right information you need to make confident, informed decisions.
